Veronica Fernandes
Veronica Fernandes began her career as a pre-primary teacher, she then completed her honours and Masters Degrees in Educational Psychology, from the University of Pretoria. She started to focus on learner’s with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) when she worked in the United Kingdom. After returning to South Africa she taught foundation phase learners for four years at a school for learner’s with ASD. She then continued onto be the school’s psychologist for the following 10 years.
In 2017, Veronica began with a private practice. The focus of her practice is on the diagnosis, psychological, educational, social, emotional and behavioural development of individuals with Autism Spectrum disorder and other developmental or learning difficulties. Through a client-centred, contextually inclusive approach she strives to support these individuals to reach their full potential and live happy, fulfilled lives.
